HOW MANY CASKS CAN YOU RUN?

Cask Marque's guidance gives cask beer 3 days on sale.
A firkin holds 72 pints,

so it needs 24 pints a day to clear in time.

A pub selling 45 pints of cask a day:
45 ÷ 24 = 1.9, so sales support one firkin line

comfortably, not three.

If you run three lines anyway, and each sells 15 pints per day then each firkin is on sale for nearly 5 days, this is almost 2 days past its best.

If a line can't sell 24 a day, drop to a pin.

At 36 pints, it only needs sales of 12 pints per day.
